Hi peeked in and enjoyed your site! We have Giants and are always on the look out for good handlers who actually know what they are doing. It is hard to find someone who actually knows how to gromm Giants. For Right Now we are having a Great Time Showing Ourselves. Doing Great in Group and Having Fun with Our Pets! Will be bringing home a Giant puppy soon after the first of the year and am really excited. Looking for as much info now, before I get her, so I will be prepared. I raised Miniature Schnauzers for many, many years in the 60's & 70's and rescued a Giant several years ago. Whe was advertised in our local newspaper as "free to good home." One never sees a giant advertised that way so I went to see her and she was in pathetic shape. I kept her for about 6 months but she did not like one of my mini's and almost killed her 4 times - out of jealousy, not meaness - but my facilities were not such that I could keep them both so had to give up the Giant. I contacted the GSCA rescue and was put in contact with a man in NJ who took her sight-unseen! I shipped her to him on a Wednesday and he had her off-lead by Friday. He was just thrilled to get her and she got the wonderful home that she deserved. I thoroughly enjoyed having her in spite of the jealosy between the little one and her. The day after I shipped her off my house was robbed. I am now going to get a puppy which is due to be whelped on or about Nov. 4th so I should be able to bring her home about the middle of January. I can't wait to have one that can grow up in my home environment and I will be able to shape her personality as she grows. Can't wait!!
